Jean Anouilh’s reimagining of Sophocles’s classic play was about rebellion in the face of tyranny. For my adaptation, I cut the cast of twelve- to five. This intimate piece was a challenge of constant problem-solving but ultimately translated into a beautifully meaningful story about an underdog leading a rebellion against the oppressor. Antigone was a great showcase of my visual and storytelling aesthetic.
