Cabaret was my final, and largest project at Emerson College. Under the direction of Ilana Ransom Toeplitz, I was able to grasp the full weight of what it is like to work on a high budget, large production musical. Attending designer, actor, and creative meetings, I was able to observe how a director productively steers the show’s vision. Along with being an extra pair of creative eyes, assisting on this show allowed me to understand what it is like to properly assist instead of lead.
